brendan guestblogs:

dear friends, romans and countrymen. it is i, the magical magician (eh so tautologeous) of the west! because i live in clementi. i have invaded charlotte's blog, and i come bearing gifts of wine, women and song!

today marks a momentous and (if i may say so myself) most joyous occasion - the birth of a new teddy bear in charlotte's life. his name is seymour asses. actually not really, charlotte prefers to take the lazy way out, requesting that i leave a blank instead of its name to (gasp oh the shame!) leave you readers hanging in the air.

anyway charlotte would like to inform you to PLEASE CLICK
HERE HERE HERE! because it is a blog of great genius kthxrawr. LyKe tOtAlLiE!1!11!!oneoneo!!1eleven!11!!!!

charlotte bought a new TOY (i practice self-censorship, like the TODAY NEWSPAPER) today, and i was superduperkind because i followed her throughout the entire funan to find it. as a response to my kindness she has now procured my thoburn shirt in her grip of death and refuses to allow repatriation of prisoners of war. oh so korean war, like in the last two years when there was a virtual ceasefire but not officially because north korea wanted repatriation of POWs to their countries of origin (kim jong il is damn weird go read his LJ linked from brendan) whereas south korea wanted POWs to be released to any countries they so desired because they knew the north koreans would obviously not want to return to uncle kim's country kthx hence showing the ideological superiority of capitalism hiphiphooray 3cheers and 3cheers and 3cheers for syngman rhee!

so right - to sum it all up, read brendan's blog, charlotte owes me a shirt, i finished reading lecture 1 of A.C. Bradley's Shakespeare's Tragedies, in which he examines what a shakespearean tragedy comprises. he's going to focus on othello, hamlet, macbeth and king lear. because as he says of anthony and cleopatra and romeo and juliet, "having noticed the peculiarity of these two dramas, we may henceforth, for the sake of brevity, ignore it". aiesh.

and so i leave you with a very quotable quote.

"outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend. inside of a dog it's too dark to read." -marx (groucho not karl)
