charlotte says:

previously, on btvs
anya:
[humans] have no purpose that unites them, so they just drift around, blundering through life until they die...which they...they know is coming, yet every single one of them is surprised when it happens to them. They're incapable of thinking about what they want beyond the moment. They kill each other, which is clearly insane. And yet, here's the thing. When it's something that really matters, they fight. I mean, they're lame morons for fighting, but they do. They never... never quit. So I guess I will keep fighting, too.
today
ANYA:
So that leaves me and the dungeon master in the north hall?

ANDREW:
We will defend it with our very lives.

ANYA:
Yes, we will defend it with his very life.

XANDER:
And don't be afraid to use him as a human shield.

ANYA:
Good, yes, thanks. (nods)
then
Bringers have made their way to the fight and are attacking Andrew. Anya fights them off, but there are too many. While she stabs one with her sword, another slices diagonally though her torso from behind, killing her.
and finally
Kennedy helps the weakened Willow walk. Xander and Dawn are making their way out of the building as well. As the building falls down around them, Xander screams out for Anya.

XANDER:
Anya! Anya!

He doesn't see her body lying limp and lifeless on the floor (blogger lets out tearful, choked sob) beneath some rubble. Dawn pulls him away toward the exit.
O, my dear sweet and now dead anyanka! my heart mourns for the loss of you. but then it just seems so fitting that you should die while saving the world and them stupid humans, albeit ironic that andrew should survive. and so it ends, the final episode of btvs has aired on star world's 5-6 pm time slot. we shall now observe a moment of silence.
